The
Tennessee River Chapter of the Vibration Institute covers East and Middle
Tennessee, Northern Alabama, Southern/Central Kentucky. Its goals are to
provide a diverse forum for all with interests in vibration and related
technologies, including structural testing, condition-base maintenance machinery
diagnostics, root cause analysis, etc.
Our
Chapter was formed in July 2004. We are a Chapter of the Vibration Institute a
Not - For - Profit Organization, located in Willowbrook, Illinois. The Vibration
Institute was founded in 1973. It was an outgrowth of a small symposium held in
1967 and The Vibration Foundation founded in 1972. It is the only nationally
recognized organization dedicated to the exchange of information about
vibration, primarily dealing with predictive maintenance of rotating equipment
and an organization for the dissemination of practical information on evaluating
machinery behavior and condition.
Come
join us at one of our quarterly meetings. You do not have to be a member of the
Vibration Institute to attend our meetings. Our goal is to provide an exchange of information in the field of predictive maintenance.
